  • What is Ascendra Living Services?

Ascendra Living Services is a support services organization committed to helping individuals and families access safe, respectful, and reliable care. We provide compassionate, person centered support services that promote independence, dignity, safety, and meaningful community participation.

  • What programs do you offer?

We offer four core programs: the Independent Living Program, the Respite Program, the Day Program / Community Access Program, and the Indigenous Support Program. Each is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individuals and families we support.

  • Who can access your services?

We support youth, young adults, adults with support needs, individuals transitioning toward independence, families and caregivers needing respite, individuals requiring community access support, and Indigenous individuals and families seeking culturally respectful care.

  • How do I get started or make a referral?

You can get in touch with us directly via our Contact page. Our team will discuss your needs, answer your questions, and guide you through the process of accessing the right program for you or your loved one.

  • Is support truly person centered?

Yes. Every service we provide is built around the individual's unique needs, goals, strengths, background, and preferences. We do not use a one-size-fits-all model. We listen first, then build a support plan that works for each person.

  • Do you offer culturally respectful support?

Absolutely. Cultural respect is a core value at Ascendra Living Services. Through our Indigenous Support Program and our overall approach, we honour the importance of cultural connection, community, family, tradition, and belonging.

  • How long can someone access the Respite Program?

Respite may be provided for a few hours, a full day, overnight, weekend support, or longer short-term arrangements depending on the needs of the individual and family. We work flexibly to meet the specific situation of each caregiver and the person in their care.

  • How do you work with families and support teams?

When appropriate and with consent, we work closely with families, guardians, caseworkers, agencies, and support teams to ensure services are consistent, aligned with the individual's goals, and communicated clearly to everyone involved.
